Johnson-Wells Residence
Anne Arundel County, MD
A native meadow was planted to fit the prairie style house and connect the architecture with the surrounding landscape. Planting large under-story trees, shrubs and woodland wildflowers enhanced the forest edges on the Johnson-Wells property. Not only is the entire landscape planted with native species, but it is aesthetically appealing. During the entire year the garden attracts a wide variety of local birds, butterflies and bees. The owners enthusiastically enjoy the native flora and fauna form their porch.
