Envirens was founded on Conservation Landscaping in 1985. Prior to the regulatory requirements to protect and enhance wetlands, streams, forests, meadows, and endangered species habitat, Envirens founder Michael Hollins was promoting and implementing a native habitat ethic for both residential and commercial landscapes. Early projects emphasized utilizing plants which support habitat and food requisites for our native bird and insect fauna. This design emphasis is now mainstream in the land conservation and sustainable landscapes movements. Envirens has continued to design and install landscapes with elements of native meadow, wetlands, forests, and streams.
